Clear Lakes Animal
Wellness provides Preventative Health
Care including:
Preventative Dental
Services –
How would you feel if you went a
lifetime without brushing your teeth?
Clear Lakes Animal Wellness recommends
all pet owners practice at home dental
care with their pet. Daily tooth
brushing is best to prevent plaque
buildup. Human toothpaste is not
recommended. |
 |
 |
We offer several flavors of pet-specific
toothpaste. Depending on your pet’s
temperament, there are other options for
at home dental care including rinses,
gels and dental diets. Dental disease is
a serious medical problem. Bacteria can
cause gingivitis and if left untreated
pets can develop infections leading to
problems with vital organs. Your pet’s
physical examination will include an
oral examination and assessment. The
veterinarian may recommend a dental
prophylaxis. Dental cleanings are
performed under anesthesia for the
safety and comfort of your pet and to
allow the Dental Technician to complete
a thorough teeth cleaning. Dental
Services include oral/dental
examination, dental cleaning, polishing
and fluoride treatment and extractions.
